Narrative:

Flight cleared from FL290 to FL350 by center. Passing through 31000' center called and stipulated, cleared to FL310 not FL350. Leveled aircraft and descend to FL310. Suspect mix-up in center. Controller that cleared us to FL350 not the controller that stopped our climb. Controllers switched (break?) during climb. Copilot had acknowledged and read back FL350 on clearance. No proximity to other aircraft announced by ATC or seen.
