Narrative:

Shortly after departing ril the passenger door popped open. I continued climbing in the pattern to the field and closed the door. The density altitude was about 8000' at the time and to improve climb performance the gear was raised. On final I lowered flaps but neglected the gear and made a gear up landing. Contributing factors: there was quite a bit of noise from the open door. I was wearing a headset which cut out quite a bit of the noise, but also masked the gear warning horn. Between the considerable wind noise, and the attenuation caused by the headset. I thought the gear horn was the marker beacon receiver going off. As I was thinking, 'gee, I didn't know this field had a marker,' the plane settled onto the runway.

BTWN THE CONSIDERABLE WIND NOISE, AND THE ATTENUATION CAUSED BY THE HEADSET. I THOUGHT THE GEAR HORN WAS THE MARKER BEACON RECEIVER GOING OFF. AS I WAS THINKING, 'GEE, I DIDN'T KNOW THIS FIELD HAD A MARKER,' THE PLANE SETTLED ONTO THE RWY.
