Narrative:

Transition to the landing confign, aircraft encountered steady stick shaker while turning final at 200 KTS, flaps 1 degree. Assuming some type of wind shear, advised approach of that fact. While trying to determine if the stick shaker was wind shear or an aircraft malfunction, no frequency switch was made to dfw tower. The captain, while analyzing aircraft systems, reported the aircraft was cleared to land, assuming the clearance was given by approach. Landing on 17L was uneventful. On rollout, a call was made to dfw tower informing them of our presence, of which they were aware.
