Narrative:

Upon landing at gcc, nose wheel shimmy caused the aircraft to vibrate, dislodging a piece of molding above the emergency exit window at seat 4D. (It should be emphasized that the molding was not part of the exit window or its mechanism.) the cosmetic molding struck a passenger in the head causing no injury. As PIC, I decided to stow away the molding because I had no way to resecuring the molded piece to the aircraft, and continue the flight ot our maintenance base in den, and enter the write-up in the aircraft log book to have the piece properly reinstalled. The molding had the placard 'exit' attached to it, but the emergency window itself was placarded and overhead in the cabin next to the exit window was a sign clearly marking the window as an emergency exit.

Title: ACR MLG HAS EMERGENCY WINDOW EXIT TRIM BECOME DETACHED, COMPLETE WITH EMERGENCY EXIT SIGN.

Narrative: UPON LNDG AT GCC, NOSE WHEEL SHIMMY CAUSED THE ACFT TO VIBRATE, DISLODGING A PIECE OF MOLDING ABOVE THE EMER EXIT WINDOW AT SEAT 4D. (IT SHOULD BE EMPHASIZED THAT THE MOLDING WAS NOT PART OF THE EXIT WINDOW OR ITS MECHANISM.) THE COSMETIC MOLDING STRUCK A PAX IN THE HEAD CAUSING NO INJURY. AS PIC, I DECIDED TO STOW AWAY THE MOLDING BECAUSE I HAD NO WAY TO RESECURING THE MOLDED PIECE TO THE ACFT, AND CONTINUE THE FLT OT OUR MAINT BASE IN DEN, AND ENTER THE WRITE-UP IN THE ACFT LOG BOOK TO HAVE THE PIECE PROPERLY REINSTALLED. THE MOLDING HAD THE PLACARD 'EXIT' ATTACHED TO IT, BUT THE EMER WINDOW ITSELF WAS PLACARDED AND OVERHEAD IN THE CABIN NEXT TO THE EXIT WINDOW WAS A SIGN CLEARLY MARKING THE WINDOW AS AN EMER EXIT.
