Narrative:

Flying southbound at 2000' from anc to ena; VFR was with departure control up until shortly (2-3 mins) before incident. Impending traffic was not pointed out to me. I was finished with departure control and off frequency when at 2000' I was met with opp direction small transport. Happened quickly; I saw that we would pass underneath him by about 100'. Not sure that there was time to take evasive action.
