Title: AFW Tower Controller reported a near midair collision of two aircraft one of which was on a 6 mile approach and the other crossed the approach corridor.
Narrative: Aircraft was on a 6 mile approach to RY16L when another aircraft flew 200 feet directly underneath. The targets merged momentarily.Extend AFW class D northward to protect aircraft on approach to AFW airport.
