Narrative:

Sector 75 had lost their frequency. They had several aircraft that were higher than normal due to the fact that they were not talking to them. Aircraft Y being worked by sector 75 was level at 33000 feet. This was a lga lander. I was working aircraft X on J60. He was level at 23000 feet. His path would have taken him directly underneath aircraft Y who I thought was going to descend shortly. I had my radar assist controller point out that aircraft to sector 75 and I turned aircraft X to a 300 heading and climbed aircraft X. This would have kept aircraft X clear from aircraft Y. Due to miscommunication; the radar controller at 75 did not know I was doing this. Once I noticed that we would lose separation I acted accordingly to re-establish separation as quickly as possible.
