Narrative:

We were on vectors with approach control at 5000 feet to ickel for rwy 18R approach. We received a TCAS RA to climb and immediately complied. At the time of the TCAS event we saw a target in red on the navigation display (nd) that said -2; at about 1 mile. As we climbed to 5600 feet; the TCAS RA went away and so did the target on the nd. We never saw an aircraft and then reported it to ATC who told us they had no traffic in the area.
