Narrative:

I departed runway 24 at teb and was cleared via the teterboro 2 departure. I maintained runway heading until I reached 1500' MSL, at which time I turned to 280. It was at this time, that I prepared the cockpit for the climb to 3000' MSL, however, I did not initiate a climb, thanks to an alert copilot. This is one of the most confusing airports for departure on either one of the 2 sids for teb, and this 'teb two departure' from runway 24 is the most simple of all of these! Somehow, it seems that these departures could be simplified with less turning and altitude changes.
