Narrative:
Aircraft stick shaker went off when at clean maneuvering speed and while advising approach of extreme wind at 2500' above terrain 47-60 KTS. Air was smooth. As a result of finding a cause for stick shaker and briefing for possible windshear and monitoring wind conditions, I missed change to tower frequency for landing. Clearance was given (I believe) by approach. When something unusual occurred in a 2-MAN complex aircraft in a high density area errors occur. Mine was an oversight while paying close attention to the primary job -- monitoring the safe flight of the aircraft.

Title: ACR LGT PIC IS DISTRACTED DURING AN ENCOUNTER WITH WIND SHEAR ON APCH AND FORGETS TO CHANGE OVER TO TWR FOR LNDG CLRNC. LNDG WITHOUT CLRNC.
Narrative: ACFT STICK SHAKER WENT OFF WHEN AT CLEAN MANEUVERING SPEED AND WHILE ADVISING APCH OF EXTREME WIND AT 2500' ABOVE TERRAIN 47-60 KTS. AIR WAS SMOOTH. WHEN SOMETHING UNUSUAL OCCURRED IN A 2-MAN COMPLEX ACFT IN A HIGH DENSITY AREA ERRORS OCCUR. MINE WAS AN OVERSIGHT WHILE PAYING CLOSE ATTN TO THE PRIMARY JOB -- MONITORING THE SAFE FLT OF THE ACFT.
