Narrative:

I am qualified on the medium large transport-a and medium large transport-B. The medium large transport-a can use flaps 1 degree or flaps 5 degree for takeoff. The medium large transport-B must use flaps 5 degree for takeoff. For the first 2 days of the trip we flew all medium large transport-a and used flaps 1 degree for takeoff. On the third leg of day three we switched aircraft to an medium large transport-B and you guessed it, we set flaps at 1 degree instead of 5 degree. We got a takeoff warning horn and immediately selected flaps 5 degree which then silenced the horn. Here's the problem: the same checklist is used for both aircraft. My recommendation is to put 5 degree where the dashed line is on the medium large transport-B checklist. We should have separate checklists for separate aircraft. Aircraft confign should not be left to memory. It should be on the checklist.

Title: ACR MLG TKOF WARNING HORN ACTIVATED ON THROTTLE UP FOR TKOF DUE TO IMPROPER FLAP SETTING.

Narrative: I AM QUALIFIED ON THE MLG-A AND MLG-B. THE MLG-A CAN USE FLAPS 1 DEG OR FLAPS 5 DEG FOR TKOF. THE MLG-B MUST USE FLAPS 5 DEG FOR TKOF. FOR THE FIRST 2 DAYS OF THE TRIP WE FLEW ALL MLG-A AND USED FLAPS 1 DEG FOR TKOF. ON THE THIRD LEG OF DAY THREE WE SWITCHED ACFT TO AN MLG-B AND YOU GUESSED IT, WE SET FLAPS AT 1 DEG INSTEAD OF 5 DEG. WE GOT A TKOF WARNING HORN AND IMMEDIATELY SELECTED FLAPS 5 DEG WHICH THEN SILENCED THE HORN. HERE'S THE PROB: THE SAME CHKLIST IS USED FOR BOTH ACFT. MY RECOMMENDATION IS TO PUT 5 DEG WHERE THE DASHED LINE IS ON THE MLG-B CHKLIST. WE SHOULD HAVE SEPARATE CHKLISTS FOR SEPARATE ACFT. ACFT CONFIGN SHOULD NOT BE LEFT TO MEMORY. IT SHOULD BE ON THE CHKLIST.
