Narrative:

While en route from pqi to pwm. An undetermined noise was noticed. Upon examination of aircraft and INS from cockpit, nothing appeared abnormal. Flight ended west/O incident. Upon examination of aircraft on ground, found approximately 5-6' of right elevator covering (ennox) was missing. Complete preflight was done prior to flight. Suspect old covering or improper application.
