Narrative:

On landing configuration when going from flaps 20 to flaps 25 received [a] trailing edge flaps disagree EICAS and amber trailing edge discreet light on. Performed a go around and kept speed below 165kias. Performed trailing edge flap disagree QRH and and received vectors back to [the runway]. Ensure priority handling [from ATC] then ran all appropriate checklists [for] landing. Crew switched from first officer (first officer) pilot flying (PF) to captain pilot flying (PF) on downwind. On final approach when gear was extended EICAS reset with no faults. Taxied to gate with flaps extended for mechanical precaution. I am not sure of the mechanical nature that caused this event. I am assuming some sensor problem or computer error.
