Narrative:

I was the PF during the takeoff on runway 24L at lax. As the autothrottles advanced the throttles to takeoff power, the takeoff warning horn started to sound. The captain checked the trim to be in the green bank. Speed brake was stored and the flaps handle in takeoff setting, so he closed the throttles and we aborted our takeoff. Once clear of the runway we requested to the terminal. While waiting for clearance into the gate area we double-checked the systems and found the leading edge flaps ext lights not illuminated. We checked the circuit breaker panel and all breakers appeared to be in. The aircraft had maintenance on the leading edge flap system on the overnight and ours was the first flight of the day. When maintenance started checking we found the circuit breaker for the leading edge flap position indication to be popped. A new control box was installed and worked fine. We began to analyze our actions during taxi-out. We read and responded to the checklist 'takeoff flaps,' 'set and green light,' but there was a possibility that the green light observed was one of the green gear lights, which is about 1 1/2' away from the leading edge flap light. Also, when we checked the circuit breaker's on taxi-in, it is very possible that the circuit breaker had popped, and due to the small amount of extension and circuit breaker's and panel all being black that it was missed.

Title: FLAP WARNING HORN SOUNDED ON TKOF. TKOF ABORTED. MAINTENANCE FOUND LEADING EDGE FLAP INDICATOR CIRCUIT BREAKER POPPED.

Narrative: I WAS THE PF DURING THE TKOF ON RWY 24L AT LAX. AS THE AUTOTHROTTLES ADVANCED THE THROTTLES TO TKOF PWR, THE TKOF WARNING HORN STARTED TO SOUND. THE CAPT CHKED THE TRIM TO BE IN THE GREEN BANK. SPD BRAKE WAS STORED AND THE FLAPS HANDLE IN TKOF SETTING, SO HE CLOSED THE THROTTLES AND WE ABORTED OUR TKOF. ONCE CLR OF THE RWY WE REQUESTED TO THE TERMINAL. WHILE WAITING FOR CLRNC INTO THE GATE AREA WE DOUBLE-CHKED THE SYSTEMS AND FOUND THE LEADING EDGE FLAPS EXT LIGHTS NOT ILLUMINATED. WE CHKED THE CB PANEL AND ALL BREAKERS APPEARED TO BE IN. THE ACFT HAD MAINT ON THE LEADING EDGE FLAP SYS ON THE OVERNIGHT AND OURS WAS THE FIRST FLT OF THE DAY. WHEN MAINT STARTED CHKING WE FOUND THE CB FOR THE LEADING EDGE FLAP POS INDICATION TO BE POPPED. A NEW CONTROL BOX WAS INSTALLED AND WORKED FINE. WE BEGAN TO ANALYZE OUR ACTIONS DURING TAXI-OUT. WE READ AND RESPONDED TO THE CHKLIST 'TKOF FLAPS,' 'SET AND GREEN LIGHT,' BUT THERE WAS A POSSIBILITY THAT THE GREEN LIGHT OBSERVED WAS ONE OF THE GREEN GEAR LIGHTS, WHICH IS ABOUT 1 1/2' AWAY FROM THE LEADING EDGE FLAP LIGHT. ALSO, WHEN WE CHKED THE CB'S ON TAXI-IN, IT IS VERY POSSIBLE THAT THE CB HAD POPPED, AND DUE TO THE SMALL AMOUNT OF EXTENSION AND CB'S AND PANEL ALL BEING BLACK THAT IT WAS MISSED.
