Narrative:

We had complied with a 400 hour fuel nozzle flow check/inspection on a PT6A-60A by removing original set and installing an inspected nozzle set. After reviewing the work order for the project; found that the lead mechanic for the project had ordered the incorrect part number nozzle set. The aircraft was immediately grounded and removed from service; nozzle sets removed; and engine hot sections bore scoped for any damage. As the inspector of the job; I had failed to notice that the nozzle set installed by the mechanics was not effective to the engine model.
