Cruise flight in IMC with weather to our north. Initial electrical smell on flight deck/ forward bunk followed by light haze and smoke visible through light beam through captains map light. Performed fire/smoke checklist followed by smoke removal. O2 masks donned. Isolated systems.cabin determined to be clear of any smoke or electrical smell through communication with cabin crew and [relief officer] assessment. Dispatch advised with [maintenance control]. Further discussion as divert possibilities. Smell and smoke dissipated.decision was made to stay on track over high terrain and jettison fuel over ocean and divert. Jettison 70k pounds for 15min and proceeded to land on runway [with an] ILS approach [at the diversion airport] at max landing weight. Fire/smoke forms performed at block in. Maintenance issues discussed about incident at block in. Bird strike also reported on takeoff on right side of aircraft.
