Narrative:

While in cruise flight at FL410 [we] received left pack temperature EICAS caution message. Reduced outflow temperature from 77 to 35 degrees and caution message remained. Received a bleed duct warning message. Started running QRH procedures for warning. Crew donned oxygen masks and established crew communications. [Advised] ATC and initiated an emergency descent to 10;000 feet. During descent; cabin pressure altitude increased to approximately 15;000 feet and passenger oxygen masks were automatically deployed. Leveled off at 10;000 feet. Completed all emergency and abnormal checklists. Sent ACARS message to dispatcher listing events and plan. Diverted to [an alternate]. Flight attendants reported no undue reaction from any of the passengers. Requested emts to meet us at the gate. No passenger(s) requested medical attention and all the passengers were rebooked on the next flight.
