Narrative:

Left [home airport] and did a few laps in the pattern then went to [an airport 22 NM away] and did a few laps in the pattern then back to base [airport]. Somewhere in our 2.1 hour flight the wingtip fell off. After we arrived on the ground we learned that maintenance didn't put all the screws back in the wing tip and then on preflight I missed on my walk around that some screws were missing. I am not positive where the wingtip fell off as I didn't notice until our post flight check.
