Narrative:
This is a known problem with the ACARS. I reported this problem several weeks ago when I had a medical emergency. ACARS continues to fail to report incoming messages to the dispatcher. This is a critical breakdown between the captain and dispatcher. Captain sent a message; [but] I did not receive the message until [about an hour and a half later] after the flight had landed.
