Narrative:

At cruise, during a normal flight at FL350, kansas city center failed to hand us off to denver center, at laa VOR we checked our position and were about 8 min ahead of flight plan. A few mins later I noticed that there was a lull in the normal radio communications, and asked the first officer who we were in contact with. He said kansas city. I said that we should have been handed off to denver center. The first officer tried contact on our current frequency and got no response. In the meantime I began to look over the chart for a denver frequency that looked familiar. I tried 3 frequencys before getting a reply. The 3RD frequency referred me to a 4TH frequency. At about the same time we received a SELCAL from the company. They directed us to a 5TH frequency. They gave us a 6TH frequency. By this time we were approaching hugo VOR denver center gave us a 360 degree turn to the east to descend to cross hugo at 17M and 250 KIAS. They also gave us a phone number to contact them on the ground. We landed at den and called center on the landline. Recommendation: a norad frequency or frequencys should be assigned to each center and highlighted on the charts so that in the event of lost communication this frequency could be called to obtain the proper frequency for your location.

Title: FLT CREW OF MLG LOST COM WITH ZKC. HAD DIFFICULTY FINDING PROPER FREQ TO COMMUNICATE WITH ZDV. OUT OF ARTCC COM LOOP FOR APPROX 30 MINUTES.

Narrative: AT CRUISE, DURING A NORMAL FLT AT FL350, KANSAS CITY CENTER FAILED TO HAND US OFF TO DENVER CENTER, AT LAA VOR WE CHECKED OUR POSITION AND WERE ABOUT 8 MIN AHEAD OF FLT PLAN. A FEW MINS LATER I NOTICED THAT THERE WAS A LULL IN THE NORMAL RADIO COMS, AND ASKED THE F/O WHO WE WERE IN CONTACT WITH. HE SAID KANSAS CITY. IN THE MEANTIME I BEGAN TO LOOK OVER THE CHART FOR A DENVER FREQ THAT LOOKED FAMILIAR. I TRIED 3 FREQS BEFORE GETTING A REPLY. THE 3RD FREQ REFERRED ME TO A 4TH FREQ. AT ABOUT THE SAME TIME WE RECEIVED A SELCAL FROM THE COMPANY. THEY DIRECTED US TO A 5TH FREQ. THEY GAVE US A 6TH FREQ. BY THIS TIME WE WERE APCHING HUGO VOR DENVER CENTER GAVE US A 360 DEG TURN TO THE E TO DSND TO CROSS HUGO AT 17M AND 250 KIAS. THEY ALSO GAVE US A PHONE NUMBER TO CONTACT THEM ON THE GND. WE LANDED AT DEN AND CALLED CENTER ON THE LANDLINE. RECOMMENDATION: A NORAD FREQ OR FREQS SHOULD BE ASSIGNED TO EACH CENTER AND HIGHLIGHTED ON THE CHARTS SO THAT IN THE EVENT OF LOST COM THIS FREQ COULD BE CALLED TO OBTAIN THE PROPER FREQ FOR YOUR LOCATION.
