Narrative:
At FL350 we suddenly heard a muffled boom; felt a momentary heavy vibration; and felt the airplane yaw to the right. The number 3 engine began to immediately roll back. We complied with the QRH procedures and landed at ZZZ airport which was directly in front of our aircraft and on a perfect 3 to 1 aircraft descent ratio. The decision to go to ZZZ set us up for an expeditious route/descent into a suitable airport while allowing us to manage our airmanship and appropriate checklists.
