Narrative:

Flew with MEL 25-10; when we got to destination the mechanic told us it should have been 25-24. The captain checked the meld bin and it was taped closed due to a broken hinge before we left. We thought MEL 25-10 covered it!I think the verbiage of the mels may have caused the event. It seems like 25-10 could have covered the bin but guess the more technically correct MEL 25-24 did. I think confirmation bias played a role. Most things are accomplished correctly and the first mel looked to cover the bin and it was taped and labeled.
