Narrative:

There is ongoing heavy construction activity located in the area of tw right between rw 07L and tw left on tw right which has been going on most of the summer.takeoff (to) on rw 33 from tw left is standard unless winds require otherwise. The issue is normally you are cleared for to while facing/taxiing south on tw right and SOP among crews I observed as a jump seater or operating is to 'go below the line' on the to final items check which includes the first officer (first officer) flow of turning on the radar. I have advised fos not to turn on the radar until facing away from the workers there but I am concerned other crews-ours and other airlines are not. I would like to contact ted stevens airport authority on this but was advised to use this system and let you reach out to them.ATC should issue a [NOTAM] immediately cautioning crews about radar use until facing the departure direction of the departure rw.[company] also should issue a [NOTAM] for panc with the same caution.lastly; ted stevens airport authority should construct/position a warning sign to pilots of this caution as a reminder.

Title: Air carrier Captain reported that at ANC; due to construction activity on the airport; flight crews are facing the construction workers when they are cleared for takeoff and turning on the radar exposes the workers to the electronic emissions.

Narrative: There is ongoing heavy construction activity located in the area of TW R between RW 07L and TW L on TW R which has been going on most of the summer.Takeoff (TO) on RW 33 from TW L is standard unless winds require otherwise. The issue is normally you are cleared for TO while facing/taxiing south on TW R and SOP among crews I observed as a Jump Seater or operating is to 'go below the line' on the TO final items check which includes the First Officer (FO) flow of turning on the RADAR.
