Narrative:

While on final approach to landing runway; noted a helicopter that had departed was on a collision course with our aircraft. We received a TCAS traffic advisory (TA) and took the necessary evasive maneuvers to avoid collision and were able to re-stabilize for a safe landing. There was no ATC warning of the traffic conflict.helicopter was departing across an active landing approach corridor. Better traffic separation.
