Narrative:

Near miss during training flight. Our aircraft was configured for slow flight at 6500 ft MSL on a southwesterly heading; and the other aircraft was on a northwesterly heading. We didn't visually identify the other aircraft till it was at about 10 o'clock of our position and heading. Both aircraft turned to the right to avoid each other aircraft.clearing turns were conducted as per airplane flying handbook prior to entering the maneuver.
