Narrative:

I was originally filed for an IFR flight from wmc to ttd. I filed wmc to dso direct rdm direct ttd. I departed VFR under VMC conditions and contacted ZLC. ZLC cleared me as filed. About 15 to 20 min later center gave me a new route. Present position direct reo direct ilb direct rdm direct ttd. I then requested present position direct ilr direct rdm and was granted this route. The reason for the rerte was due to activity in the juniper MOA to FL510. Some time later I received a handoff from salt lake winnemucca to salt lake rome. The new controller was not aware of the change from direct reo direct ilr to direct ilr.
