Narrative:
On climb out noticed an alternate airport on the FD as 3c8. ATC told us this was calverton airfield on long island. Also further along in the flight; over northern maine; another altn airport; ME16; showed up on the FD. Neither of these airports are in the jepps database with charts. If we are to use these airports in the heat of the battle I think we should at least have an airport diagram in the data base. I checked with dispatch as to the fields in question and they said boeing put them in because they meet our field length requirements. Again I think if they are in the data base specifically as alternate airports we should at least have a diagram of the field.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: Air carrier First Officer noted that former government airports 3C8 and ME18 are displayed as ALTN on the FD; but are not listed in the Jeppesen charts even though the runways were suitable for large aircraft. The pilot recommended that airport diagrams be available for these airports.
