Narrative:
During vectoring for approach to rwy 12R in sat we were given clearance for a visual approach. We were a [bit] high and began correcting when an obstacle warning alert was sounded. First officer was flying and I went outside looking; saw no terrain but spotted towers. We received the obstacle alert message 'pull up' at the same time I was visual and assumed aircraft control and began a left bank away from the obstacles. Being that I was already visual with the obstacle when the warning was initiated and being that it was day; VFR; clear skies; and I could see the tower and runway; I initiated a 30 degree left bank away and we subsequently landed with no other issues.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: A321 flight crew reported taking evasive action after receiving an EGPWS obstacle warning on approach to SAT which could have been related to their higher than normal descent rate.
