Narrative:

Our flight originated in flint, mi on 03/thu/90. The first officer and I had completed all the required cockpit checklists and the first flight of day engine checks. After being cleared for takeoff by the tower, we were accelerating down the runway when at approximately 90-90 KTS, the emergency exit hatch (located above the first officer in the cockpit) came off the aircraft. We aborted the takeoff and after telling the tower and our company of the problem, we taxied the aircraft back to the gate (all engine and other indications were normal). Earlier, during the originating checks and again in the pre-taxi checks, the hatch was found to be secure with the handle in the proper position.
