Narrative:

After landing and clearing the runway flight crew reported that after stowing the thrust reversers the left eng rev light was on the forward EICAS. Taxied into gate and wrote up the problem in the maintenance logbook as well as sent a message to maintenance control. Found out the next day that the aircraft was supposed to make up the return flight but was cancelled due to the reverser issue. Maintenance informed me that two by four pieces of wood had been found hanging out of the bottom of the left engine thrust reverser. Left engine thrust reverser was damaged. I have no idea where this wood came from and how it lodged itself in the bottom of the reverser cowl.
