Narrative:

Normal flight and landing. Landed in touchdown zone and exited at second high speed taxiway. Normal braking was observed during landing and brake fans were turned on upon exiting runway. During taxi-in crew discussed #8 brake indication since it was lower than all the other brake indications. #8 brake was reading 85 while all the others were reading approximately 190-220. During taxi-in no brake dragging was noticed. After an approximate 5 minute taxi we entered our ramp and turned into the parking spot. Halfway into the parking spot and aligned on the taxi line both 7 & 8 main tires blew with a large bang. The aircraft was then shut down and the mechanic informed crew that two main tires had just blown out. Approximately 3 min after occurrence brake temps were noted with brake fans being off for approximately 3-4 minutes: 1-250. 2-270. 3-250. 4-190. 5-230. 6-230. 7-240. 8-85. Crew exited aircraft and discussed tire situation with mechanic. Mechanic asked if crew had put anything in logbook as of yet. I told him crew had not put it in the logbook and did he want us or him to put the write up in the logbook. He said he would make the entry in the logbook. In hindsight the crew should have entered the write up in the logbook not the mechanic.
