Narrative:

Taxiing out at oak to 29R, got arsa clearance from ground controller. She only gave us squawk. No departure instruction. We didn't ask for any, VFR flight back to ccr. Departed 29R after cleared for takeoff. At 1000' started right turn direct ccr. Controller came back and said maintain runway heading. Had started to cross the 27L & 27R runways. Controller also advised us to remain clear of TCA. We did. Controller cleared us direct ccr again, but again said to maintain runway heading once we were in the turn. The first controller giving instruction always overridden by another voice (controller). It seems oak tower/ground and bay approach didn't relay any information on us to each other. It wasn't a good situation and a bit hard to make sure we stayed out of TCA. Confusing situation.
