Narrative:

Notified by company after departure that automated weight and balance understated passenger load by 20. Aircraft was about 3400 pounds heavier than advertised due to light loading. This was not significant but could have been in slightly different circumstances. F/east did not notice/advise captain or first officer of apparent discrepancy between planned and actual passenger count. Neither captain nor first officer noticed discrepancy as takeoff data card from the engineer showed approximately the same ramp weight as the flight plan.
