Narrative:

Loss of GPS reception on garmin 530 and 430 units upon takeoff near crq. The pad elevation is 256 feet MSL and the loss of reception occurred around 325 feet MSL after a westerly departure from the helipad. We visit this pad 5-8 times a month. On this departure I displayed the satellite reception page since I had a loss of reception event on [another day this month] several hours before sunrise. During climbout from helipad I saw the reception bars slowly decrease on all 9 satellites until they disappeared and I got the garmin advisory that reception to the units was lost. Reception returned in 2-3 minutes.
