Narrative:
On arrival to teb (v489) right before coate I saw a glider about 200 feet away at my 11:30 and same altitude. I made a collision avoidance steep right turn to avoid it and once I made visual passage turned back to coate and advised ATC. ATC then started my vectors into teb.
