Narrative:

We flew to pae. Two man crew. We landed normally; read the station guide and the notams. The tower was closed. We exited the runway the only way we could have. The notams did not specify that you could not taxi all the way down a; or the way it was worded was unclear. It also did not say anywhere that you would have to back taxi on the runway. I tried several times to call into ops on the two frequencies; with no answer. Also on the ground I tried several times; both frequencies; when we saw that we could not taxi thru on a; I finally got a hold of ops to ask them to come push us back and tow us in. We shut down three engines; number 4 was running; and thought it best not to start them up again since we had a tug. Also; let me add that the flight was delayed many times and was not on any kind of schedule. There was no wrong turn. Also I would like to know if [company] knew we were getting in at that time re: the delays; no one answering any of the frequencies; or if it was dispatch that did not notify them of our arrival; and where we fell thru the cracks for anyone to be around? Aren't the firetrucks supposed to meet us?

Original NASA ASRS Text

Title: A widebody cargo flight crew reported landing at PAE late at night with the Tower closed to find that Taxiway A was closed at A7. Eventually a tug was summoned and the aircraft was pushed back and towed to the ramp. There was no specific NOTAM for the closure.
