Narrative:

At boston, logan we/crew were taxiing on the taxiway november (north) behind a widebody transport, we stayed approximately 200 yds away from the widebody transport, our radios, both copilot and mine were on ground control 121.9. Ground control advised us to cross what we thought was 22R the active runway, what they really cleared us for was to cross runway 15 and remain on november taxiway (this runway is not marked very well and the hold lines are very hard to see). Ground control told us to cross 15 and be careful of jet blast from the widebody transport in front of us. We turned right, proceeded down 15 runway and crossed 22R, the active departure runway. I looked at the departure end of the runway 22R, there was an air carrier holding in position, the ground controller told us to monitor the tower which the copilot did, I stayed with ground control because I was busy taxiing and completing the checklist items taxiing to 22 left, approximately 250 yds down runway 15 ground called and advised us we were not cleared to cross 22R or to be on the non active. No tower transmission was heard by crew to stop us from crossing 22R or ground control until we had crossed 22R and proceeded down 15 on the way to 22 left. At this time ground control gave me a phone number to call. I called boston tower and explained what I have written in the report, I feel better markings on this airport would have helped us. The crew was also fatigued from the previous 2 days of heavy flying. But the ground controller should have stopped us when we turned onto runway 15. No contact was made by either the tower or ground control until we had crossed 22R. In talking with tower supervisor at boston he advised me that both the tower and ground control tried to contact us before we crossed. We/I feel that both tower and pilot was at fault on this. Pilot fatigue, controller's accent & controller not monitoring ground actions by aircraft close enough. Blame lies with me for not checking for sure. An air carrier was behind us and we heard ground trying to get him also.

Title: CGA TOOK WRONG TURN WHILE TAXIING AND CROSSED AN ACTIVE RWY.

Narrative: AT BOSTON, LOGAN WE/CREW WERE TAXIING ON THE TXWY NOVEMBER (N) BEHIND A WDB, WE STAYED APPROX 200 YDS AWAY FROM THE WDB, OUR RADIOS, BOTH COPLT AND MINE WERE ON GND CTL 121.9. GND CTL ADVISED US TO CROSS WHAT WE THOUGHT WAS 22R THE ACTIVE RWY, WHAT THEY REALLY CLRED US FOR WAS TO CROSS RWY 15 AND REMAIN ON NOVEMBER TXWY (THIS RWY IS NOT MARKED VERY WELL AND THE HOLD LINES ARE VERY HARD TO SEE). GND CTL TOLD US TO CROSS 15 AND BE CAREFUL OF JET BLAST FROM THE WDB IN FRONT OF US. WE TURNED RIGHT, PROCEEDED DOWN 15 RWY AND CROSSED 22R, THE ACTIVE DEP RWY. I LOOKED AT THE DEP END OF THE RWY 22R, THERE WAS AN ACR HOLDING IN POS, THE GND CTLR TOLD US TO MONITOR THE TWR WHICH THE COPLT DID, I STAYED WITH GND CTL BECAUSE I WAS BUSY TAXIING AND COMPLETING THE CHKLIST ITEMS TAXIING TO 22 LEFT, APPROX 250 YDS DOWN RWY 15 GND CALLED AND ADVISED US WE WERE NOT CLRED TO CROSS 22R OR TO BE ON THE NON ACTIVE. NO TWR XMISSION WAS HEARD BY CREW TO STOP US FROM XING 22R OR GND CTL UNTIL WE HAD CROSSED 22R AND PROCEEDED DOWN 15 ON THE WAY TO 22 LEFT. AT THIS TIME GND CTL GAVE ME A PHONE NUMBER TO CALL. I CALLED BOSTON TWR AND EXPLAINED WHAT I HAVE WRITTEN IN THE RPT, I FEEL BETTER MARKINGS ON THIS ARPT WOULD HAVE HELPED US. THE CREW WAS ALSO FATIGUED FROM THE PREVIOUS 2 DAYS OF HEAVY FLYING. BUT THE GND CTLR SHOULD HAVE STOPPED US WHEN WE TURNED ONTO RWY 15. NO CONTACT WAS MADE BY EITHER THE TWR OR GND CTL UNTIL WE HAD CROSSED 22R. IN TALKING WITH TWR SUPVR AT BOSTON HE ADVISED ME THAT BOTH THE TWR AND GND CTL TRIED TO CONTACT US BEFORE WE CROSSED. WE/I FEEL THAT BOTH TWR AND PLT WAS AT FAULT ON THIS. PLT FATIGUE, CTLR'S ACCENT & CTLR NOT MONITORING GND ACTIONS BY ACFT CLOSE ENOUGH. BLAME LIES WITH ME FOR NOT CHKING FOR SURE. AN ACR WAS BEHIND US AND WE HEARD GND TRYING TO GET HIM ALSO.
