Narrative:

I was the first officer on a flight from smf to lax. The WX at lax was reported as 5500' overcast, 25 mi visibility with rain showers, and the wind was 150 degree at 12. I landed on runway 06L. The runway was wet, but there was no rain at the time of landing. I was manipulating the controls and brakes. We touched down at the 1000' mark commencing normal deceleration, spoiler deployment and braking. Braking continued, anticipating turning off the runway at taxiway 47. Braking action was good. Just prior to turning on to taxiway 47 the tower controller told us to continue to the end west/O saying why. Braking was halted and we continued the rollout. While rolling abeam taxiway 47, the tower controller told us, you can turn there if you wish, however at that point, a 180 degree turn on the runway would have been required to exit at taxiway 47. During the rollout from taxiway 47 to 33, we were told to expedite to the end, traffic on a 2 mi final, followed by do not delay, traffic on 1 mi final and then heard tower advise traffic to prepare for go around. We had experienced good braking prior to taxiway 47 and reapplied brakes prior to painted runway markings. But experienced nil braking on both the concrete and painted concrete. We turned onto taxiway 33, but skidded, apparently hitting 2 lights on the edge of the taxiway. The tower advised traffic that the braking action was poor or nil at the end of runway. This braking report had not been given to us. We taxied to the gate for normal deplaning and on post-flight found #1 tire flat, and maintenance found a leaking brake line on the left landing gear.

Title: NEARING END OF RWY 6 AT LAX FLT CREW ENCOUNTERED POOR OR NIL BRAKING. ACFT SKIDDED DAMAGING TWO LIGHTS, ONE TIRE ON THE ACFT AND A DAMAGED BRAKE LINE.

Narrative: I WAS THE F/O ON A FLT FROM SMF TO LAX. THE WX AT LAX WAS RPTED AS 5500' OVCST, 25 MI VISIBILITY WITH RAIN SHOWERS, AND THE WIND WAS 150 DEG AT 12. I LANDED ON RWY 06L. THE RWY WAS WET, BUT THERE WAS NO RAIN AT THE TIME OF LNDG. I WAS MANIPULATING THE CTLS AND BRAKES. WE TOUCHED DOWN AT THE 1000' MARK COMMENCING NORMAL DECELERATION, SPOILER DEPLOYMENT AND BRAKING. BRAKING CONTINUED, ANTICIPATING TURNING OFF THE RWY AT TXWY 47. BRAKING ACTION WAS GOOD. JUST PRIOR TO TURNING ON TO TXWY 47 THE TWR CTLR TOLD US TO CONTINUE TO THE END W/O SAYING WHY. BRAKING WAS HALTED AND WE CONTINUED THE ROLLOUT. WHILE ROLLING ABEAM TXWY 47, THE TWR CTLR TOLD US, YOU CAN TURN THERE IF YOU WISH, HOWEVER AT THAT POINT, A 180 DEG TURN ON THE RWY WOULD HAVE BEEN REQUIRED TO EXIT AT TXWY 47. DURING THE ROLLOUT FROM TXWY 47 TO 33, WE WERE TOLD TO EXPEDITE TO THE END, TFC ON A 2 MI FINAL, FOLLOWED BY DO NOT DELAY, TFC ON 1 MI FINAL AND THEN HEARD TWR ADVISE TFC TO PREPARE FOR GO AROUND. WE HAD EXPERIENCED GOOD BRAKING PRIOR TO TXWY 47 AND REAPPLIED BRAKES PRIOR TO PAINTED RWY MARKINGS. BUT EXPERIENCED NIL BRAKING ON BOTH THE CONCRETE AND PAINTED CONCRETE. WE TURNED ONTO TXWY 33, BUT SKIDDED, APPARENTLY HITTING 2 LIGHTS ON THE EDGE OF THE TXWY. THE TWR ADVISED TFC THAT THE BRAKING ACTION WAS POOR OR NIL AT THE END OF RWY. THIS BRAKING RPT HAD NOT BEEN GIVEN TO US. WE TAXIED TO THE GATE FOR NORMAL DEPLANING AND ON POST-FLT FOUND #1 TIRE FLAT, AND MAINT FOUND A LEAKING BRAKE LINE ON THE LEFT LNDG GEAR.
