Narrative:

While cruising at FL340 we received multiple messages flickering back and forth between ED1 and ED2 concerning the right fadec. Finally the right fadec master caution remained steady on ED1. We ran the QRH and all engine instruments at the time were normal. We contacted company and decided to continue to our destination. Sometime shortly after; there was a bang; the aircraft yawed to the right; and all the number 2 engine gauges fluctuated. The right fadec master caution message disappeared and now we had a left and right fadec fault 1 and 2 status message; we also had a right engine degraded master caution message. With the situation at hand we decided in the interest of safety to divert to [a nearby airport]. Company and ATC was notified and the plan was executed as such.
