Narrative:

First officer was flying the airplane. During landing in ewr with calm winds in trail of MD11 aircraft by about 3-4 miles; about 300 ft above ground we got a wind-shear warning. Executed a missed approach and came back for the second uneventful approach and landing. Suspect the wake turbulence from proceeding MD11 lingering in approach path with calm wind. The windshear warning was accompanied with a thin sliver of shear warning area on ADI.
