Narrative:

Parked on the hard stand on ramp. I started to taxi toward spot 7 on frequency 129.80. I then contacted that frequency and said 'ramp, light transport X.' ramp responded back to 'go ahead.' I then said 'I'm approaching spot 7 and would like to proceed to run-up pad on 36R.' ramp responded back by saying 'cleared to run-up pad 36R.' I did not change frequency, as I was not instructed to do so. (Il will not change frequency unless instructed to do so.) as I was approaching the run-up pad on 36R, still on frequency 129.80, I received a call from 129.80 asking me 'who gave you permission to cross 5-23.' I responded back by saying 'you did.' he then told me to contact 121.80 and talk to them about the situation. Now talking on 121.80, I explained how and why I got where I am (run-up pad) and they understood and said to carry on with your run-up. I completed my run-up and put the aircraft back onto d-concourse gate. I went inside to call the FAA control tower to talk easier and explained the situation again. They once again understood and said they will talk to the person who gave me permission to cross 5-23. I now called the duty supervisor in the ramp tower and explained the story to him. He said that he did listen to the playback of the tape and did hear the recording of the action that took place. Mr 'a' is the gentleman who gave me permission to the run-up pad 36R. The tape playback did clearly say that he gave me permission to do so, and there was no recording of anything for me to change frequency or for me to do something else.

Narrative: PARKED ON THE HARD STAND ON RAMP. I STARTED TO TAXI TOWARD SPOT 7 ON FREQ 129.80. I THEN CONTACTED THAT FREQ AND SAID 'RAMP, LTT X.' RAMP RESPONDED BACK TO 'GO AHEAD.' I THEN SAID 'I'M APCHING SPOT 7 AND WOULD LIKE TO PROCEED TO RUN-UP PAD ON 36R.' RAMP RESPONDED BACK BY SAYING 'CLRED TO RUN-UP PAD 36R.' I DID NOT CHANGE FREQ, AS I WAS NOT INSTRUCTED TO DO SO. (IL WILL NOT CHANGE FREQ UNLESS INSTRUCTED TO DO SO.) AS I WAS APCHING THE RUN-UP PAD ON 36R, STILL ON FREQ 129.80, I RECEIVED A CALL FROM 129.80 ASKING ME 'WHO GAVE YOU PERMISSION TO CROSS 5-23.' I RESPONDED BACK BY SAYING 'YOU DID.' HE THEN TOLD ME TO CONTACT 121.80 AND TALK TO THEM ABOUT THE SITUATION. NOW TALKING ON 121.80, I EXPLAINED HOW AND WHY I GOT WHERE I AM (RUN-UP PAD) AND THEY UNDERSTOOD AND SAID TO CARRY ON WITH YOUR RUN-UP. I COMPLETED MY RUN-UP AND PUT THE ACFT BACK ONTO D-CONCOURSE GATE. I WENT INSIDE TO CALL THE FAA CTL TWR TO TALK EASIER AND EXPLAINED THE SITUATION AGAIN. THEY ONCE AGAIN UNDERSTOOD AND SAID THEY WILL TALK TO THE PERSON WHO GAVE ME PERMISSION TO CROSS 5-23. I NOW CALLED THE DUTY SUPVR IN THE RAMP TWR AND EXPLAINED THE STORY TO HIM. HE SAID THAT HE DID LISTEN TO THE PLAYBACK OF THE TAPE AND DID HEAR THE RECORDING OF THE ACTION THAT TOOK PLACE. MR 'A' IS THE GENTLEMAN WHO GAVE ME PERMISSION TO THE RUN-UP PAD 36R. THE TAPE PLAYBACK DID CLEARLY SAY THAT HE GAVE ME PERMISSION TO DO SO, AND THERE WAS NO RECORDING OF ANYTHING FOR ME TO CHANGE FREQ OR FOR ME TO DO SOMETHING ELSE.
