Narrative:

I was parked on the northeast ramp at hgr as indicated by the X on the attached airport diagram. I was cleared to taxi to and hold short of runway 27 via taxiway bravo. As I was taxiing across the parallel taxiway of runway 27, I realized that the hold lines were at the edge of the parallel taxiway. The lines are quite faded and I could not stop prior to crossing the hold lines. No other traffic was affected as the old hold lines were still 50' ahead. These are painted over with black paint. I would suggest that the hold lines be repainted and that aircraft departing this ramp be warned that the hold lines are across the parallel taxiway. As one taxis from this ramp, the attention is to make sure no other aircraft are taxiing toward you and to cross the taxiway so as not to block it for other aircraft.

Title: FLT OF SMA UNABLE TO SEE HOLD LINE TAXIED PAST.

Narrative: I WAS PARKED ON THE NE RAMP AT HGR AS INDICATED BY THE X ON THE ATTACHED ARPT DIAGRAM. I WAS CLRED TO TAXI TO AND HOLD SHORT OF RWY 27 VIA TXWY BRAVO. AS I WAS TAXIING ACROSS THE PARALLEL TXWY OF RWY 27, I REALIZED THAT THE HOLD LINES WERE AT THE EDGE OF THE PARALLEL TXWY. THE LINES ARE QUITE FADED AND I COULD NOT STOP PRIOR TO XING THE HOLD LINES. NO OTHER TFC WAS AFFECTED AS THE OLD HOLD LINES WERE STILL 50' AHEAD. THESE ARE PAINTED OVER WITH BLACK PAINT. I WOULD SUGGEST THAT THE HOLD LINES BE REPAINTED AND THAT ACFT DEPARTING THIS RAMP BE WARNED THAT THE HOLD LINES ARE ACROSS THE PARALLEL TXWY. AS ONE TAXIS FROM THIS RAMP, THE ATTN IS TO MAKE SURE NO OTHER ACFT ARE TAXIING TOWARD YOU AND TO CROSS THE TXWY SO AS NOT TO BLOCK IT FOR OTHER ACFT.
