Using a 12-110 volt power inverter in pilot area. It completely scrambled an iphone and kindle (electronic flight bag) from static electricity. I heard air carriers forbid power inverters in the flight deck area; but part 91 its unknown.

Narrative: Using a 12-110 volt power inverter in pilot area. It completely scrambled an iPhone and Kindle (electronic flight bag) from static electricity. I heard air carriers forbid power inverters in the flight deck area; but part 91 its unknown.
