Narrative:

We were taxiing into the [FBO] ramp in lax. The marshaller was instructing us to park on the north side of the ramp usually reserved for larger commercial aircraft. We were just south of the zipper line for autos in a non-movement area when the airplane stopped. The marshaller continued to tell us to move forward; but we were unable. At this time we heard on ground control frequency that the asphalt had failed under our right main. We shut down the aircraft and came out to find the tire had sunk approximately 6 inches through the asphalt. There was no damage to the aircraft.I think the only way to avoid this scenario would have been if we parked in a different location.

Title: G-IV FO reported the asphalt ramp pavement at a LAX FBO failed under his right main gear; making further taxi impossible.
