Narrative:
At vr the first officer's EFIS screens went blank and the captain's blinked. Both RMI's went out. Both flight director and autoplt went inoperative. Since #1 EFIS did not appear totally reliable and atl ATC was going to vector us 60+ mi out for requested return to atl airport, I declared an emergency for straight back to airport. This precluded possibility of no gyro vector and approach in minimum WX. Landed west/O incident.
