Narrative:
IFR to kgre; requested the VOR/DME a approach to kgre. Center advised a NOTAM applied; but I assumed the approach still authorized. I understood clear to maintain 2;400 until established and cleared for approach; but on reflection uncertain that clearance was for VOR/DME a. Approach was normal with landing at kgre.received field notams at kgre on preflight briefing; but did not discover fdc 5/6341 until checking notams online later.
