Narrative:

I was working west departure combined with east departure. I accepted a point out from X position on aircraft Y going to ZZZZ intersection. I stopped aircraft X at 12;000. I noticed that aircraft Y was level at 12;000 converging with aircraft X. I climbed aircraft X to 13;000 and assigned a frequency change to center. After he switched frequencies; I recognized aircraft Y began to climb. I notified the X controller that I had already changed aircraft X's frequency. Coordination was made with center that aircraft X was their control.my recommendation is that east and west departure be de-combined early enough as to not have the position overloaded.
