Narrative:
During climbout; heard several loud bangs; looked out porthole while in J/south at 3R; saw fire and smelled something burning. Passengers screamed and started to move away from window. Plane was shaking and we never gained altitude. I told them to stay seated and waited for instructions from cockpit. Normal landing; debriefed by pilots and supervisor and then released.
