Narrative:

I was designated guideman for positioning a truck for refueling prior to parking the vehicle for the night. The vehicle has a tank on both sides of the vehicle. Due to clearance issues with an aircraft dispatching from a gate; I guided my driver to back the vehicle to the non-gate side of the island; to fill the driver's side fuel tank. After fueling; we waited for the aircraft to turn out of the gate so we could pull away from the island and back the vehicle into the gate side of the island and fill the passenger side fuel tank. I crossed the island to position as guide for the reverse direction while my driver pulled forward from the island to get the vehicle into position. My driver began a left turn to line up; but started the turn too soon. The vehicle impacted the concrete bollard around the fuel island; causing damage to the type I and type iv fill lines. The lines ruptured; draining the full tank onto the ground.
