Narrative:
During pushback procedure a vehicle crossed behind the plane. I applied the brakes to slow down and stop. Once cleared of the vehicle; continued with pushback. After debriefing with my wing walker I was told the vehicle driver was distracted while using his cell phone. No damages occurred; and all clear to push; clearance; and stop signage was used.
